Box finds comfort in the simplicity and safety of small-town life, where he thrives in his blue-collar job. His fascination with slaughter is satisfied at the local slaughterhouse, where he indulges his craving for blood. When Nathan, a young man recently released on parole, arrives in town, Box is tasked with mentoring him. The two quickly form a connection over a gruesome murder, bonding through their shared thirst for power and blood.
