Sledge Hammer!

“Sledge Hammer!” is a satirical American police sitcom that aired on ABC for two seasons between 1986 and 1988. Produced by New World Television, the series was the brainchild of Alan Spencer and featured David Rasche in the role of Inspector Sledge Hammer, a ludicrous exaggeration of the typical “maverick cop” persona. Al Jean and Mike Reiss, renowned for their contributions to The Simpsons, served as writers and story editors for the show.
