Inside Combat Rescue

The highly skilled Pararescuemen, known as PJs, from the U.S. Air Force’s elite Combat Rescue unit, are dedicated to a singular mission: saving American or Allied troops facing grave danger. Whether their mission involves rescuing individuals who have been shot down, stranded behind enemy lines, encircled, engaged in combat, injured, or captured, the PJs are committed to doing whatever it takes to bring them to safety. For the first time ever, these PJs have permitted camera crews to document their operations in Afghanistan. “Inside Combat Rescue” chronicles the experiences and lives of these exceptional airmen.
