An Idiot Abroad

“An Idiot Abroad” is a British travel documentary series aired on Sky1 and Science, accompanied by related books released by Canongate Books. The series was conceived by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, featuring Karl Pilkington as the main character. The central premise of both the TV show and the books is that Pilkington is indifferent to traveling the world. Despite this, Merchant and Gervais send him on various journeys while they remain in the UK, observing his experiences from afar.
