The Hong Kong police are on the trail of a counterfeiting syndicate headed by a mastermind known as “Painter” (Chow Yun-fat). This group is highly skilled in producing fake currency that is nearly indistinguishable from the real thing, complicating efforts to track them down. Their operations have a worldwide reach, drawing significant attention from law enforcement. To uncover the real identity of “Painter,” the police enlist the help of an artist named Lee Man (Aaron Kwok) to aid in cracking the case.
