Crafted entirely from Scottish film archives, this film takes us on a voyage through our shared history, delving into timeless themes such as love, loss, resistance, migration, work, and leisure. Everyday individuals, many of whom have passed away and whose names and identities have faded from memory, emerge from the depths of the archives to play leading roles. Through masterful editing, these silent figures are transformed into composite characters, brought to life to share their stories, with King Creosote’s poetic music and lyrics providing their voice.
