Drawing from an extensive collection of archival material, this documentary chronicles Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s journey from 1955 to 1968, highlighting his transformation from a local activist to a globally recognized figure in the Civil Rights movement. The film features seldom-seen footage of King’s speeches, demonstrations, and arrests, interwoven with scenes showcasing prominent allies and adversaries of the movement, and includes moving testimonials from some of Hollywood’s most famous personalities.
